Capitol Hill

The Capital Hill community surrounds the U.S. Capitol Building and is the largest residential historic district in Washington, D.C. with many 19th and 20th century row houses. Many of them are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Capitol Hill is considered the most prestigious address in Washington, D.C. and the political center of the nation’s capitol. Capitol Hill is located north of the Washington Navy Yard, east of Judiciary Square and Penn Quarter, south of Union Station and west of the Southeast Waterfront. Neighborhood within Capital Hill include, Barracks row, Mass. Ave., NE Corridor, Eastern Market, Southwest Waterfront and H Street.
